Registration Friends of DAR

Lasell Hall, Schoharie, New York

On March 25,2018 the Schoharie Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will hold an organizational meeting of the newly formed FRIENDS OF LASELL HALL.  Members of this group will support DAR chapter members in preservation, restoration, fundraising and promotional projects.

Lasell Hall was constructed in 1795 by Johannes Lawyer. It was known as the Lawyer Tavern and Fountain town Inn.  In 2011, flooding during Hurricane Irene caused damage to the first floor and cellar. Restoration work has been done, but as anyone with a historic home knows it is an on-going process.

The building is currently available to rent for community and private events. Assistance is needed to keep this piece of Schoharie History a place that the public can visit, use and be proud of.  If you and your family are interested in sharing your time and talents to The Friends of  Lasell Hall please join us on Sunday March 25,2018 at 2:00pm.

This group is open to the public, we welcome Scouts, garden clubs, and other service organizations as well. Light refreshments will be served and a possible “behind the scenes tour” will be available. Please contact us if you are interested in joining or have questions (even if you cannot make this meeting):
