October

Pumpkin Festival

We invite growers, crafters, artisans, and vendors to participate in our festival. This is a great time to attract leaf peepers and to showcase Schoharie County’s fall produce. Registration is $15 to help with the cost of advertising.

Old Stone Fort Stone Fort Days/History Fair

One of the biggest of our Fall events is the annual Old Stone Fort celebration of our region’s history. Stone Fort Days is held every second year and recaptures the spirit of our colonial era life and times. The History Fair is held in the intervening years and takes a broader look at the sweep of history through to the present day.

Autumn Bakeoff Contest

Using the season’s harvest, bakers compete to be the best entries in our contest. After the judging, the items are auctioned off. Proceeds support the Schoharie Promotional Association’s many projects and events.

Trunk or Treat

With most of the village rebuilding after the 2011 flood, there wasn’t a safe option that year for children to go trick-or-treating. The Promotional Association decided to start a Trunk or Treat event where cars park in designated areas, open their trunks and provide treats to trick or treaters. The event is now a Fall mainstay in the Village.
