Schoharie Community Development Corporation The principle economic development entity in the Village of Schoharie is the Schoharie Community Development Corporation (SCDC). The SCDC can assist in the planning of your project and in securing of financial incentives. The SCDC’s services include: consultation, grant writing, program delivery, and more. Historic Preservation District Almost the entirety of the Village of Schoharie, including the entire central business district, has been designated as a Historic Preservation District. This unique distinction allows for substantial Federal and State tax credits to incentivize the rehabilitation of existing commercial units. If tax credits are not feasible for your project, Historic Preservation grants are also available in lieu of tax credits. Rules and restrictions apply.
