Crime is near-nonexistent in Schoharie. We have not had a violent crime committed in our village in over a decade. This is thanks, largely due to the strong police presence in our village. In addition to the five committed officers who patrol our streets, the headquarters of the Schoharie County Sherriff Department are located in the village, giving Schoharie a secure and secure neighborhood for people of all ages.
Schoharie also boasts a phenomenal school district with small class sizes, outstanding faculty, both athletic and non-athletic extracurricular activities, a wide variety of electives through our faculty and distance learning partnerships with nearby school districts, and even opportunities to earn college credits while in high school though our University in the High School (UHS) program in conjunction with SUNY Cobleskill.
